Well I was back at the Old Bus Depot Markets on Sunday for their 'Kids in the Shed' themed day which was fun. Below you can see a photo of the stall with my son who had come with me to help set up. It was a fine day but cold and I couldn't feel my toes for most of it. I had also created some new pictures which I hope you like, I certainly do. The new vintage style papers I have recently sourced are a real treat for the eye. I also had a new stand for the cards which seemed to work well on the day.
These are my new pictures, please let me know what you think, I'd love some feedback........
I must say my family and I seem to be adjusting to the cooler weather here in Canberra quite well after only two winters, and we enjoy the four seasons which you don't get in Brisbane (our home town). I do miss the warm weather and must say that I am a dress and sandals kind of girl (even swimmers and a sarong) but one thing I desperately miss is the beach. Having spent all of my teenage years right through to my early thirties living on the Sunshine Coast in Southeast Queensland, I was very spoilt when it came to spending time at the beach. The coast is about a 2.5 hour drive from Canberra and we have spent some time at the beach but I'm afraid its just not enough. So I'm going to post some of my favourite photos of one of the last trips we took home. These are of Noosa National Park and the walk out to Hells Gate and along the way - just beautiful. Just close your eyes and you'll be able to smell the salt and hear the waves. I can't think of anywhere I would rather be on a cold, windy, overcast Tuesday afternoon in Canberra. Dream on..............
I don't expect this will be the last you'll see of these as it is only the third week of June.

Hi and welcome to my second blog post.
Firstly, I must apologise for not updating sooner but I was crazily busy getting ready for the Handmade Market which was on last Saturday, 5th June, 2010. We were so lucky with the weather, a fine and sunny day with a carpet of leaves underfoot. For my first Handmade Market I was truly excited by the interest in my work, lots of really positive feedback and plenty of sales which was just wonderful. I experienced the thrill of having a buyer be as excited about my work as I am in creating it. The day went by very quickly and I met some lovely stall holders who were very supportive and gave lots of great advice too. I bought myself some gorgeous red beads (for my birthday which was also on Saturday) from the lovely girls at Six in a Row.
I must also apologise for not having put anything on etsy yet either which I intend to rectify this week as soon as I have recovered from market day fever. I wanted to let people know that if they would like to purchase something that they saw at the market on Saturday or have seen on my blog, please contact me via my email which is email@example.com, or you could leave a message on my blog at the bottom of this page and I will definitely get back to you. I would be more than happy to organise something that way. My next market will be at the Old Bus Depot Markets on Sunday, 20th June, 2010 for the annual "Kids in the Shed" theme day and of course I will be back at the next Handmade Market on the 11th September, 2010. So as soon as I have posted this blog I will be working on my etsy account getting all my images uploaded and sorted.
I just wanted to show you some of the work I have been doing recently. Some of these I had at the Handmade markets on Saturday. Also below is a picture of my stall before the crowds arrived which I must say looked quite lovely. Its also very important that I point out the wonderful job my husband did on my red jam sign. It was a collaborative effort but I just wanted to say thank you to him for his support and encouragement and my beautiful sign.

Hello and welcome to red jam designs' very first blog post! At red jam you'll find lots of handmade papercraft and art with a bit of textile design and fabric craft thrown in. I must admit I'm feeling very nervous and am not sure how I'm going to do but I think if I just relax and pretend I'm having a chat with an old friend I'll be fine. So here goes.....
First of all I wanted to say a big thank you to Erin of Edub Designs for all her hard work on designing my logo, blog, etsy banner and business card. She has done such a wonderful job and I am so happy with them. Erin is very professional and is easy to work with and nothing is too much trouble. So thank you Erin. If you want to find Erin she has a shop on Etsy and you can find her here on www.edubdesignsblog.blogspot.com It comes highly recommended.
I'm very much looking forward to my first Handmade Market which is coming up on 5th June, 2010. The last market in March was really lovely at Kamberra Wine under the trees, such a gorgeous location I can't wait to get there. I'm busy cutting and sticking, making sure I have enough of everything. I have some new and very beautiful paper that has given me lots of inspiration and now I just need the time to create some new designs. Below is a series of designs that I finished last week, I was really happy with them. I apologise for not having my etsy page up and running yet but plan to this week. I still have alot to learn about blogging as well so stay with me.
I just wanted to thank my friend Bronwyn for all her support and also Mel from Paperklip who was so kind and generous with her advice and time.
I feel like I have so much to say and show you so will be back soon. Have a great day!
